Thanks, all y'all and youze guyze! It was a good weekend for meeting up with friends and running a few miles along the lakeshore. _________________ "Through the years, I have learned that there is no harm in charging oneself up with delusions between moments of valid inspiration." - Steve Martin

what she didn't say was that she got a BQ... I had fun too, just jogging through _________________ "We run, not because we think it is doing us good, but because we enjoy it and cannot help ourselves..." Sir Roger Bannister

I'm too late with the good luck wishes, but hope everyone had a great racing weekend. It was warm in the DC area, so I hope you found cooler conditions where you were! _________________ Do all you can with what you have in the time you have in the place you are...Nkosi Johnson |

Thanks, everyone! Unfortunately we had some heat Saturday - it was fine once I got above the tree line, but pretty brutal for the first few miles. So mine was a ridiculously slow "race." (Ahem, mostly a walking race.)
Of course, the heat didn't stop the first place woman from breaking the female course record, in clothes and shoes she borrowed from someone else a few minutes before the race started. Amazing and true. _________________ -Tracy |
