I have to spend some time near Seattle - on Orcas Island - next month, and I'm wondering about the running options. I think there's a good chance I'll be trapped on the island with no car. I think my schedule calls for a 10m. Does anyone know anything about running up there? _________________ -Tracy |

I'm local and I cycle from the ferry terminal to the top of Mt Constitution most years. You're going to love it I think Tracy, there is a rain shadow on those islands and they are usually dry. Plenty of roads and hills on all of the San Juan Islands and Orcas (my favorite of them) has plenty of both. And the largest community Soundsound is kind of touristy with out being overly so. And plenty of businesses to serve your needs. And GORGIOUS views in every direction. Oh and you can rent a bike (motorised or not), kayak into some of the most interesting areas, dive, etc. _________________ And who at best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory or defeat.
