I've never bought into any of those genetic explanations. Homo Sapiens have the shallowest gene pool of any organism on the planet, by a very wide margin.

Eat properly, live in a healthy environment, and run a lot. Repeat everyday for 25-30 years and you're likely to be pretty good runner.
