I'm putting this up way early in the week so you all have time to channel your karma into wishing me luck in the epic showdown, wherein I show Ian who's boss at the Monkey next Sunday. The stakes are high: loser buys the winner Sunday night's dinner. (Speaking of: does anyone have any suggestions of restaurants that are either ridiculously expensive (for if he loses) or really really cheap (in case I lose)? I'm thinking barbecue... yum.)

Anyway, karma to all of the racers in the final throes of their taper:

11/21/2011 - FLYING MONKEY MARATHON YAY!
Trent
Ian
T-Mu
MotherRunner (Sarah)
Stihl Going

11/22/2011 - Route 66 Marathon Tulsa OK
Rita

Good luck, y'all.

Tracy, from what I heard this restaurant fits the bill win or lose.

WooHoo! Trying to figure out if I can get from Columbia SC to Nashville in time to watch the showdown... not likely ... I've got my money on Sarah!

Good luck everyone!

While my heart is with the old guy, I suspect, like the previous battle of the sexes, the younger and prettier of the two combatants will prevail.

I don't know if he is or not, but he was making noises, so I put him in and he has not yet disputed the entry.

aah, nope... I did NE instead (as it ended up being cheap) and since this will be a 50 state reunion next year I will do it in 2012 (God willing and the creek don't rise).

Will there be a live feed for the Monkey since there is such a HUGE match up?? or will we have to wait till the next day for results?

I think that Versus Network will have several cameras and a bevy of motorcycle photographers.

Sorry but plowing snow took precedent to monkey hunting. Thank goodness the airlines were accomidating. Sorry to the little lady who surely was dissappointed I was unable to fulfill my pacing duties.
