I was thinking about that actually. My goal for the year is to run my 100th marathon before my 30th birthday (November 22). I scheduled a BMS Marathon for Nov. 21 (Matt's 100th Marathon Marathon).
I've been thinking it might be a bit narcissist to host a marathon like that, and it might be nice to run a bigger marathon for #100.
I need to think about it, but I may end up at Flying Monkey. I've always wanted to run it. _________________ - Shoeless Matt |

Sorry about the forum name change from BMS Guy. It doesn't matter to me which name you put up there. _________________ - Shoeless Matt |

Matt, it appears we North Carolinians are sticking close to home in March. My daughter has volleyball tournaments on March 6th, 7th, 20th, and 27th so Ellerbee Springs and Knoxville were the only 2 races I could get to fit around those dates. Her tournament on the 27th is in Chattanooga so we'll just travel up from there to Knoxville. Works out pretty well.
Still undecided about whether I want to do SweetH2O 50K again this year. It's earlier (April 3rd) so won't be as hot??????? You never know in Georgia tho. _________________ Marathon Maniac #712

Now that you mention it, 4 of my 5 March marathons are in NC. I'm looking forward to some snow-free roads to run on!
SweetH20 sounds brutal, and since it's on trail, it's easier for me to wuss out on it. You're welcome to run 50K in Boone on April 3rd if you want more reasonable running conditions. I think Jonathan Savage is planning to be there for the run (I've heard this guy goes out and run 20+ miles several times a week, and I'm looking forward to meeting him).
Ellerbe should be small enough that we'll run into each other. It should be fun. _________________ - Shoeless Matt |

Ian -
Please add me to the list for Delaware Marathon on 5/17.
I'm not running Boston this year or Tacoma. Delaware is a bit closer to home.
Thanks. _________________ -Miles of smiles, M i c h e l e

So...I need to be removed from the Derby 1/2 Marathon. I pulled my hamstring on Friday (there was drinking involved). Bad enough that there is still some discomfort in my hammy sitting down (just from the pressure against it)...but not bad enough to show any bruising. I'll take a few weeks off to rest it and pick another 1/2 marathon in May or June. Kind of a bummer...but I'll get back at it as quickly as I can. _________________ "Superman never made any money for saving the world from Solomon Grundy." - CTD |

Well, my buds put the screws on me, so it's back to the races:
4/3 Lincoln Half marathon
5/1 IL Marathon
5/30 Madison Marathon
6/19 Grandma's
8/14 Howl at the Moon 8 hour Ultra
10/10 Chicago Marathon
Still have to register for June, if I pull the plug I have a room in Two Harbors _________________ "Every healthy child would improvise if we let them" |

| Okie dokie...I keep forgetting that I even run anymore. In my own stupidity and seemingly hate-to-train mentality, I'm still signned up for the Kentucky Derby Marathon 4/24 (as is Todd). We're going and I will attempt to complete it. Todd may try, as well. He's been fighting achilles tendonitis since our fall round of marathons. |

I just like running trail races and May has too many good ones to pass up that are within driving distance. More relaxed too. I can pee in the woods and eat like a pig since the aid stations are usually more substantially stocked. Right now I only have one June race. Suggestions that aren't more than a 6 hour drive away? _________________ Marathon Maniac #712
