Good luck to you both! Betsy, I'm expecting that BQ so we can share a ride to Hopkinton again next April (actually, just as importantly, that pre-race carbo-fest and the post-race party)!

Thank you everyone! They say good things come in three, correct? Well, I won a pair of Brooks running shoes from the expo, I got to meet and interview Meb Keflezighi (he signed both my Boston and RnR bibs), sooo... perhaps the third thing will be the letters B and Q? (Although I suppose that would be FOUR things, huh?)

Very Happy

Ric -- have a fabulous race. Hope to see you in Tukwila!

I'll post a report soon, but I just BQ'd! (3:55:41). It was a tough race, but I pushed myself the entire time. I think the Meb mojo really helped.

I was so tired it took until today and reviewing my splits to figure it out. Duh, I went out too fast! I guess not racing in so long I fantasized that I could somehow run it the same speed as maybe a year ago before the foot needed the operation. So after the first 5 miles I slowed down but of course it was too late by then. I drug through the middle miles and pushed a little faster in the last 5. No different story here than most people have done. Hopefully I will run another in a month or so and do it with more discipline than that. But other than the time thing I was a great feeling to be back out there doing all the race day stuff and crossing that finish line.
