Is this the same half marathon that she was soliciting training advice for earlier this week ?!

Good luck.

I hope so. I'd really like to see her in NYC next fall.

Good luck to all!

Uh, Mr. GBN, this is exactly why I tried earlier this week to correct the impression of my other post. I was looking for advice for how to RUN the thing. It was already way too late to think about doing something as radical as - gasp! - training for the thing.

Thunder Road was good. I think I ran my best marathon of the year (love those hills) but waiting to see what my chip time was. Pretty cold at the start but that's normal for this race. The race is getting huge. I heard 20K runners in all 3 races this year. I'm not too sure if I'll run it again. They are talking about changing it to November cause too many Charlottoniens complain that it interferes with their Christmas shopping. Rolling Eyes Too many good trail races in November.

Hope our Sunday runners are as successful as E was yesterday! Happy running all!

Oh, and my running group won 2nd place in the group costume contest at yesterday's Reindeer run - location was Sea World (yes the race I bitched about earlier) but the prize for 2nd place was 2 tix to Sea World/Aquatica EACH! So I take back most of what I was bitching about (aside from the entry fee, and the $6 in tolls to get there, and the first 1.4 miles ziggy-zag through the parking lot, it was a nice race!)
