Is Michele the only one running a race this weekend? Good luck out in Carlsbad 1L. I'm sure you will crush that measly 1/2.

I'm taking the weekend off. Have a horrid cold. It feels rather odd not to have to get up at 3:30 to drive to a race. Razz

Isn't Melissa running in Hawaii this weekend?
I hope your cold gets better. I might have to take the weekend off because my cold is making it so hard to breathe.

Headed out for a 15 miler this morning with the temp in the single digits. After passing a couple guys with the frozen beard thing going, I caught myself thinking, "I don't know if a beard would help keep my face warm on a day like today, but that frozen beard look is totally badass!"

Yes, Melissa is running Maui Oceanfront this weekend. Heck, with the time difference, she's probably already up and ready to run. Oops - wrong direction. She's probably now ready to not sleep for the next several hours!

And how appropriate that 1L, my partner for Maui Oceanfront last year, is also running this weekend. Hope my good luck wishes are not too late for either of you!

Thanks all. Not so cold in CA at least once you got running along the coast - 46F at the start but 61F at the finish. Hillier than expected but I still made my goal of beating 1:40 with a 1:39:20 half.

Hope Speedy had a good run in Maui (who can have a bad run in Maui?).
