Good luck everyone running (and running long - whew)

Sorry to report that we didn't win this years' costume contest at the Sea World Reindeer Run... my friends dressed as "Flakes" and lost to a group of Rockette-esque Wooden Soldiers, and I got upstaged by a 4 year old reindeer in the individual contest... but a nice day for a run thru the park even tho it's 77^ outside right now...

Thanks all. Running XC Club Nationals was certainly an experience. First in that it is XC (course was on grass, mud, and some dirt cart path on a golf course with only one hill, but it was 3 loops, so you climbed the hill 3x) and second in that there are some freakin' fast old women out there. I had a blast and finished exactly as I expected (27:22 for 6K or a 7:20 pace) at 98th out of 152 for masters women (5th on our team, but I was the oldest member at 49 on the 40-49). Our men's masters teams from the ATC were 1st in the 40-49, 1st in the 50-59 and 3rd in the 60-69 age groups. We were 9th in the 40-49 and 9th in the 50-59.

Our Men's Open runners were outclassed by such former and future olympians as: Brett Gotcher and Matt Centrowitz and our Open Women were bested by the likes of that young high school girl from Shippensburg, PA.
