I hope Lisa doesn't ever mention TM to the contest folks. Smile

Keep it up, Lisa! The top two have actually fallen off a bit in the past week or two. They don't have friends like Lisa!!

Do you think they'll notice it if we crank out some votes with this?

Question: If I vote from different computers, but from the same location, will that count, or does it know it's coming from the same server?

I don't know, but if the votes were coming from different login accounts that should not count. For example, if your wife and you voted from the same computer at home there should not be anything wrong with that.

Or hypothetically, if several classes full of math students just happened to vote for someone under their own ids -- simply as an educational exercise to determine how it affected the percentages before and after -- they are separate votes from different people, right?

I think they probably track by IP address, not device or logins, but I don't know at what level they would be getting the IP address (e.g. if 20 math kids are using a wifi network and they all vote, which IP will the voting website see, the individual IPs of each student, or a single IP for the wireless?).

I suppose one could switch this from a class assignment to a homework asssignment. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

This is way more addicting than I ever would've thought. And TM is an awesome secret weapon! I wonder what other on-line contests we could each enter. We'll make a fortune!

Far be it from me to endorse any kind of voter fraud, but if you turn on the "in private browsing" feature on your web browser, you can vote for Lisa as often as you want.

OK, if we really wanna commit fraud, why don't we vote for Erin and Nancy many times in one day FROM THE SAME PC/Mac?
According to the rules, they would become disqualified!

Frankie, have you read Nancy's profile? I don't think you could actively work to disqualify a woman in the middle of cancer treatment! Could you? Shocked

HOWEVER, we can continue to vote for Lisa and to ask everyone else we know to do the same. She's rapidly gaining!! Very Happy

Lisa 11.45%
Mary 12.09 %
Erin 15.75%
Nancy 16.99%

Let's go, Tapirs!!!!

CCZ, I have not read Nancy's profile, and no, I could not.

Mary is at 11.95 with Lisa right on her tail at 11.55!

GO VOTE!!!!!

Also, think of the voting this way: Lisa's percent is a percentage of the total vote (add all up and it equals 100%). So, every upward tick in Lisa's percentage, means a downward tick in everyone elses %. Oh, and I seem to be at a different ISP than I was an hour ago! Hmm.

Lisa broke the 12% barrier, but Mary is one tough broad.
I think we need some math students to widen the margin.

Lisa - 12.01%

I work from home and vote daily using my laptop, but if I take my iPad to Starbucks, I can vote from there and it will be a different address, right?

The internet is a great thing for attorneys trying to prove things like, you know, fraud because it's just amazing what people will confess there.

A good friend of mine didn't want to vote for Lisa because he thought she was my ex wife!
I told him that it was in fact NOT my ex (named Lisa) but a running friend.

He will now be voting twice daily! Once at work. Once from his Droid!
