Turkey Bowl. Because the seniors in the marching band are painting their bodies, we need to drop off our son at 7:30am. We will start setting up the snack bar @ 8:30. Dinner will just be the four of us whenever the turkey is ready. Most sides have been made or are being made tonight. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Boston Market this year for us. Our kitchen has been stripped down to the studs and the subfloor, cabinets start going in next week. We started a new tradition when we moved out to NorCal, we pack turkey sandwiches and find a quiet spot oceanside to spend the day so BM will work just fine.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

It's been a few years since we ran a Turkey Trot, but we're going to continue another tradition and meet some of the local Tapirs for breakfast at Walker Brother's Pancake House. After that, it off to my little sister's where Stella's favorite cousin resides. I'm lucky because all the main dishes are taken care of, and all I have to bring is a dessert. Magnolia Bakery's banana pudding. Not very traditional, but it's damn tasty.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Different routine for us this year: The Wisconsin kids & grandkid couldn't come down. We saw the Portland kids last month & will again in Jan. So, we're babysitting the Chicago area kids' 5 mo old (who is teething) & 3 yr old while they celebrate their anniversary in Key West. This marathon lasts until Monday afternoon. Keep us in your prayers.

Went back to Atlanta to run the traditional Half Marathon with friends. It will be my last race and most likely last run in 2012 as I am having a surgical procedure done on Monday afternoon. Time off will hopefully heal my achilles as well.
