As you head out on Saturday, perhaps you will want to dedicate part of your run to Ryan Shay. This idea came out of a fellow runner's desire to honor Ryan after reading comments Ryan's father wrote on a blog (which is linked in the article).

Well, since I won't be running on Saturday, I guess I can honor him by running the last 10K at the Monkey on Sunday.

HMMM, a lot of us can do that.

Scuba - thanks for sharing this. Our Orlando Galloway training team honored Ryan on Saturday, marking the 5.5 mile mark on our run routes. I overheard some interesting conversations that morning.

My next run is the Seattle Marathon this sunday (to get the MM thing before my 90 days runs out). I'm wearing my unworn monkey shirt in memory of my father but I promise to think of Ryan Shay at some point also.

Good luck, Ric. You'll have plenty of inspiration, from the sounds of it.
